About Madrasah

Welcome to Madrasah Ta'leemul Islam

After the establishment of Jamme Masjid in the 1960s the pioneers of the institute realised a need for the education for the young generation. Madrasah Ta’leemul Islam opened its doors in the early 1960s starting with only 1 teacher and handful number of pupils. Over the decades it has gone from strength to strength focussing always on fulfilling the vision its pioneers had in mind. Alhumdu lillah by the grace of the Almighty we have certainly come a long way since then – from a small house to a Madrasah with a capacity of over 500 students.

At Madrasah Ta’leemul Islam Our aim is to educate and prepare the younger generation of this Ummah through knowledge, wisdom, good morals and manners using successful methods existing in the Qur’an & Sunnah.

By educating our young Muslims, we will be moulding the future generations in the UK, who by the permission of Allah, will become model British citizens and beacons of light in the wider society.

Madrassah T’aleemul Islam provides structured learning for boys and girls aged 4-16. In order to create an atmosphere of correct Islamic morals and etiquettes, our classes are taught in gender appropriate environments from age 6 and above. Recognising that Islam is a holistic way of life, our students will be studying Qur’anic Studies, Arabic Language Studies, Islamic Studies which includes manners, etiquettes, Jurisprudence and also Authentic Du’a & Adhkaar Memorisation. Through teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, we aspire to nurture our Muslim community in the UK to espouse sound Islamic principles. This is done by promoting British and cohesive Islamic values to harbour good community relations such as respect, tolerance, justice and the elimination of bigotry.
